About This Farm
The Longan Farm at Narangba grows longans, the lychee's subtler cousin, and opens for picking during the short summer harvest. It is a working commercial farm rather than a tourist attraction, which is exactly the appeal: $2 gets you in, the fruit is $12 a kilo, and you pick straight from trees most Australians have never stood under.

Good to Know
Entry is $2 per person, cash only, with fruit charged by the kilo. Bring secateurs or borrow a pair with a deposit; children are not permitted to use them. Picking days are announced daily on Facebook during the season and the farm gets genuinely busy, with queues on peak weekends. Outside longan season the farm is closed to the public.
Pro tip: longans keep best on the branch; ask for clusters rather than loose fruit.
