Harrisville Orchards is a fourth-generation family orchard on Harris Road at Lenswood, run by Craig Harris and a Royal Adelaide Show champion for more than twenty years. In 2023 the family ended its apple picking after 123 years and removed around 60,000 trees, but the cherry orchard remains open to pickers each December.
Entry is $10 for adults and $5 for children, under 5s free, and includes a picking bucket; cash and card are both accepted. Recent seasons have run roughly 14 to 24 December, 9am to 4pm daily, closing at 1pm on days of extreme heat or when the fruit sells out. Note that apple picking is no longer offered despite older listings and the farm's own website still mentioning it.
Pro tip: the season here is short even by cherry standards, so watch their socials from early December.
