Vergone's Fruit Stall is a family-run orchard and farm shop in Dwellingup, about 90 minutes south of Perth in the heart of WA's beautiful Peel region. Run by the Vergone family, this working orchard offers pick-your-own berries, a well-stocked farm shop, and a cafe serving delicious homemade treats.
The farm specialises in pick-your-own raspberries and boysenberries during the summer season:
Pick-your-own is available from 8am to 12pm (or 2pm on special weekends). Note that the berry season is relatively short - typically winding down by mid-January, so check their Facebook page for current availability.
Price includes entry and a punnet to fill:
Weekend specials sometimes offer 500gm punnets for $12 - follow their Facebook for deals!
Even outside berry season, the farm shop is worth a visit:
Open Thursday to Sunday, 8am to 5pm (closed Monday to Wednesday). No bags permitted in the picking area, and dogs are not allowed through the farm during PYO (but welcome in the shop area).
When picking, only harvest where staff advise and ensure your punnet lid can close - overfilling incurs extra costs. Children must be supervised at all times.
Pro tip: Make it a day trip! Dwellingup is a gorgeous town with forest walks, the Hotham Valley Railway, and the famous Dwellingup Trails. Stop by Vergone's for fresh berries, a coffee and a slice of that cheesecake.
