Swan Valley Fresh Fruit offers premium pick-your-own grapes in the heart of Swan Valley, one of Perth's most beloved wine and food regions. With free entry and quality seedless grapes, it is an easy low-cost family outing.
During the grape season from late December through March, the vineyard offers several delicious seedless varieties at just $7/kg:
The grapes are vine-ripened and bursting with natural sweetness - a world away from supermarket grapes that are often picked underripe for transport.
Entry is completely free! You simply pay $7 per kilogram for the grapes you pick. This makes it an affordable family outing where you only pay for what you take home.
Seedless watermelon and rockmelon can also be picked in season, and Kensington mango trays and soft-serve are sold on site.
Located in Perth's famous Swan Valley, this vineyard is surrounded by wineries, breweries, and artisan food producers. It's easy to combine your grape-picking adventure with lunch at a nearby restaurant or wine tasting at one of the valley's many cellar doors.
The vineyard operates seasonally during grape harvest. Picking rotates across blocks around Baskerville, Millendon, Herne Hill and Belhus as rows ripen, so check their Facebook page for the day's location and hours before driving out. The Swan Valley is just 25 minutes from Perth CBD, making it perfect for a morning pick followed by lunch in the valley.
Pro tip: Visit on a weekday morning to avoid the weekend crowds and get first pick of the ripest bunches. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water - the Perth summer sun can be intense!
