Minh Tran's Strawberry Farm is a beloved family-run strawberry farm in Perth's northern suburbs, with the Tran family having been dedicated Wanneroo strawberry growers for over 20 years. Located at 1920 Wanneroo Road in Neerabup, this is one of Perth's most popular pick-your-own strawberry destinations, attracting families from across the metropolitan area during the spring and summer strawberry season.
The farm offers an incredible pick-your-own experience with over 200 rows and a staggering 180,000 strawberry plants to choose from. Three delicious varieties are available:
Visitors can enjoy all-you-can-eat strawberries while picking in the field, as long as they maintain a level box (approximately 3.5kg) to take home. It's the perfect way to taste-test your way to the sweetest berries!
The flat rate of $15 per box represents excellent value, especially when you factor in the unlimited tasting while you pick. Pre-packed 3kg assorted boxes are also available for $25 if you prefer not to pick yourself. There's no entry fee – you simply pay for your box of strawberries. Minimum one box per family (covers 2 adults and 5 children). Cash only.
The farm operates on a seasonal basis from October through December and is only open at advertised times – be sure to check their Facebook page before visiting as they are not open every day. Typical picking hours are 7:00am to 2:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 7:00am to 12:00pm on Sundays.
The farm also operates a second location at 171 Elliot Road in Wanneroo during peak season. Punnet purchasing typically returns in June each year.
Pro tip: Wear covered shoes as the ground is sandy, and bring sunglasses and sunscreen for morning visits. Arrive early for the best selection of ripe berries – reviewers consistently call these the sweetest strawberries they've ever tasted!
