Sherwood Park Orchard

Sherwood Park Orchard sits on the Old Princes Highway at Bunyip in West Gippsland, about an hour from Melbourne. Each autumn the orchard opens for u-pick so families can pull crisp Pink Lady and Granny Smith apples straight from the tree, with fruit hanging low enough for even toddlers to reach their own.

What You Can Pick

• Pink Lady apples - April to June
• Granny Smith apples - April to June

There is no advertised entry fee; you pay for the apples you pick, with past seasons priced at roughly $3-4 per kg depending on quantity.

Good to Know

The bakery cafe and farm shop open seven days (weekdays from 6am, weekends from 7.30am, both until 5pm), so the farm is worth a stop year-round; u-pick apples run seasonally from about April to June. No bookings needed. Confirm current picking prices with the orchard before visiting. Autumn weekends are the peak window, when the bakery and the orchard are both in full swing.

Pro tip: come hungry; the bakery is as much of a drawcard as the apples.
