Macca's Farm

Macca's Farm is a 158-acre working farm at Glen Forbes, about 10 minutes from Phillip Island, and its strawberry picking takes a format few farms offer: a kilometre of hydroponic rows grown at waist height, so nobody bends and wheelchairs and prams roll straight down the rows.

Good to Know

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 9am-5pm. Picking is weather dependent in the shoulder months, so call ahead in spring and autumn. The farm shop sells free-range pork, beef and lamb raised on the property, and cafe tables can be reserved by phone. It pairs perfectly with a Phillip Island day trip. Beyond the strawberries, the farm runs as a genuine working property, with free-range pigs, cattle and chickens raised on the paddocks and sold through the farm shop, and the cafe menu leans on the farm's own produce. The covered rows also mean picking can go ahead in light rain.
