About This Farm
Kookaberry Strawberry Farm is Frances and Tony Caltieri's family farm on Lewis Road at Wandin North, in the strawberry heartland of the Yarra Valley. Beyond the picking rows, the farmgate shop has a serious reputation: its jams, syrups and vinegars won multiple medals at the 2024 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, including Champion for the raspberry balsamic vinegar.

Good to Know
Opening times move with the fruit season, so check Facebook or Instagram, or call ahead before visiting; the farm closes Christmas Day and Easter Day. Everything made on site is 100% Australian grown with no preservatives or artificial additives, which is why the pantry shelf empties as fast as the picking field. Strawberry availability moves week to week through the season, and the family posts picking updates on social media so visitors can time their run for ripe fruit. The preserves are made in small batches from the farm's own harvest, which is why the award shelf keeps growing and the stock keeps selling out.
Pro tip: whatever you pick, leave room in the basket for a bottle of the champion raspberry balsamic.
