Kinglake Raspberries

Kinglake Raspberries is a 25-hectare family raspberry farm at Pheasant Creek, tucked into the foothills of the Great Dividing Range about an hour north-east of Melbourne. It is a wonderfully simple operation: grab a picking basket, get a quick demonstration if it is your first visit, and head into one of six blocks of raspberry canes to fill it with sun-ripened fruit.

What You Can Pick

• Summer raspberries - mid December to the end of January
• Autumn raspberries - late March to June, with the best picking in April and May

Each basket holds about a kilogram, and you pay only for what you pick.

• Farm shop with pre-picked and frozen berries, jams and sauces
• Two picking seasons, so you can come back months apart for a completely different visit

Good to Know

There is no entry fee; you simply pay by weight for your berries, with current prices announced by phone and on social media. Open daily during picking season (closed Christmas Day), recently 8am-6pm in summer, and open weekdays between seasons for frozen berries and preserves. No bookings needed, but call ahead or check socials for crop updates before a long drive.

Pro tip: the autumn crop is quieter than the summer holidays rush, and April picking is superb.
