Fielderberry Farm is a family-run u-pick berry farm tucked into the Dandenong Ranges foothills at Cockatoo, about an hour from Melbourne. Visitors praise the relaxed atmosphere, friendly owners and the quality of the berries, reflected in its 4.9 Google rating.
There is no entrance fee, eating while you pick is welcomed, and you pay only for the berries you take home.
The season runs roughly November to April. The farm opens around Thursday to Monday, approximately 9am-5pm, with reduced hours on days over 33C and closures on Code Red fire days, Good Friday and Christmas Day. Seasonal picking prices are announced each summer on the farm's socials. No bookings required. Season and daily opening updates are posted on the farm's social pages, which is the quickest way to confirm picking conditions before the drive up.
Pro tip: pair your picking with a waffle; regulars say they are worth the trip on their own.
