About This Farm
Cedar Creek Orchard at Thirlmere has been in the same family since 1937, now fourth generation, with about 23,000 trees across 45 hectares. Its autumn persimmon season is the signature event, complete with the Persimmon Express tractor ride out to the orchard, and stone fruit picking returns each November.

Good to Know
Season entry runs about $12.50 for adults and $7.50 for children (3-15, under 3 free), with a $3 per person booking deposit; bookings are essential through the website, and weekday sessions need a minimum group of eight adults. Pick-your-own pauses between seasons while the shed keeps trading. Apple picking is not currently offered; shed apples cover the gap. No dogs.
Pro tip: late April is peak persimmon; the orchard in full orange is worth the drive alone.
